1. A time is soon to come upon people when their faces will be cheerful and happy, but their hearts will be dark; the Sunnah of God will be considered innovation, and the innovation of God will be deemed Sunnah; among them, the believers will be deemed insignificant and the wicked honored; their scholars will be in the courts of oppressive rulers, and those who obey commands will be ignorant and tyrannical.
2. The fool’s heart is in his mouth, while the wise person’s mouth is in his heart.
3. Whoever rides on the back of falsehood will eventually fall into the pit of remorse.
4. Do not engage in arguments and debates, or your dignity will be lost, and do not indulge in jest and mockery, or people’s audacity will increase.
5. A believer is a source of mercy for other believers and a proof against the disbelievers.
6. Your manners are sufficient when you abstain from what others dislike.
7. There is a limit to moderation; if you exceed it, it becomes stinginess. There is also a limit to bravery; if you exceed it, it becomes recklessness.
8. The one whose habit is righteousness, whose nature is generosity, and whose temperament is forbearance will have many friends.
9. If God has guaranteed sustenance for you, do not let the pursuit of it hinder you from fulfilling your obligations.
10. Be cautious! Avoid seeking power and fame because both lead towards destruction.
11. The abundance of fasting and prayers is not worship; rather, contemplation and reflection on the commandments of Allah is worship.
12. Laughing without wonder is a sign of ignorance.
13. You have been granted limited years and counted days; death can come suddenly at any time. Whoever seeks goodness will find happiness and benefit, and whoever indulges in evil will regret. People will receive what they strive for.
