Hazrat Imam Baqar a.s Said:

  • 1. This is the destination where the brave adorn and test their resolve, this is the arena of lovers, and the testing ground of those martyred, As if neither have passed through here before, nor will any accompany them in the future.

  • 2. The one who can truly recognize God and worship Him is the one who attains recognition of the Imams from the progeny of the Prophet (peace be upon him), known as the Ahl al-Bayt a.s.

  • 3. Allah bestowed His support upon Imam Hussain ibn Ali (peace be upon them) to the extent that angels filled the earth and heavens. Amidst accepting divine assistance and meeting with God, the Imam chose the divine encounter.

  • 4. Our recognition and the existence of our universal guardianship is a sealed secret among secrets. Whoever tears the veil of this secret for the uninitiated, God will open the path of humiliation for them in this world. Indeed, concealing it from the people of insight is an act of great oppression.
  • 5. Rabi narrates from Imam Muhammad Baqir (peace be upon him), saying: “I was sitting with the Imam when I saw him sit up straight and say, ‘O Abi Rabi! There is a hadith that our Shia recite with their tongues, yet they do not understand its depth.’ I asked, ‘May I be sacrificed for you! Which hadith is this, and what is its essence?’ Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) replied, ‘It is the saying of Hazrat Ali, our interaction with Allah is very difficult, and understanding it is extremely challenging. Only the proximate angel, or a sent prophet, or a faithful servant who has undergone trials from Allah can comprehend and endure it.”

  • 6. The foundation of Islam is based on five pillars: Qayam-e-Namaz (establishing prayers), Ada-e-Zakaat (giving charity), Som Ramzan (fasting during Ramadan), Hajj Baiytullah (performing the pilgrimage to the Kaaba), and Wilayat-e-Ehl-e-Bayt (acceptance of the guardianship of the Ahlul Bayt).

    1. Abu Hamza! Imam Baqir (peace be upon him) said to me: “Only the one who possesses recognition (ma’rifat) can truly worship the truth. Otherwise, worship without recognition is akin to the worship of the misguided.” I asked, “May I be sacrificed for you! What is the purpose of recognizing Allah?” He replied: “The confirmation of Allah and His Messenger, the love and obedience of Ali, the support of the Imams of Guidance, and aversion from their enemies. When all these qualities are combined, the recognition of Allah becomes rightful.”
